On June 27, Officers arrested Danetra Latonya Young (47) of Paris on an outstanding warrant for Parole Violation on Burglary of Habitation and Credit Card Abuse. She was booked without incident.
On June 28, Officers responded to the 2000 block of Lamar Avenue in regards to an assault. The met with a victim who advised that Devin J’Vaughn Waters (19) had assaulted her by throwing her to the ground and choking her. Physical evidence and witness testimony confirmed the claims of the incident. Waters was arrested and charged with Assault of a Family Member by Impeding Breath. He was booked without incident.
On June 28, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 3300 block of Bonham St. They made contact with a victim who advised they had been assaulted by a household member by being struck with a wooden stick. The victim was subsequently transported to a medical facility by Paris EMS. Officers spoke with the suspect who advised that he had been assaulted by the suspect prior to our arrival. Suspect advised that the victim had struck him with a brick and had thrown several other bricks at him. Officers documented both parties information. The case is under further investigation.
Officers made 124 traffic stops, 10 adult arrest, and answered 326 calls for service during this reporting period.
