With 185 seniors, disabled individuals, and veterans on the waiting list, the Human Resources Council’s Meals on Wheels program is in need of donations to meet the growing demand.
Meals on Wheels provides a hot, noon-time meal to seniors, disabled individuals, and veterans.
In 2022, Meals on Wheels provided more than 170,000 meals to its five county service area – Lamar, Red River Hopkins, Delta and Rains counties.
The non-profit also has a Pet Food program and can accept monetary donations or small bags of cat and dog food.
Monetary donations can be made in any amount.
